A snowy owl effortlessly glides over Lake Ontario's cold winter waters. I have had the opportunity to photograph these polar birds several times in my career, but this encounter remains the most memorable. Wading through cold water to access a remote island to photograph these birds over the water was a remarkable opportunity.
