Perched amongst the icy hoar frost, a great grey owl scans a field for its next meal. What I remember most from this project was the challenge of finding these birds. Even in a region with a significant population, these owls camouflage fantastically into their surroundings. I always wondered how many owls kept an elusive watchful eye on my team and me without us knowing.
